Job Description
National sales development manager building and coaching healthcare sales associates at Heraeus. Managing readiness, assignments, performance, incentives, and promotion pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- Build the Sales Associate hiring profile and participate in candidate selection
- Standardize national onboarding and certify foundational readiness before associates begin independent field activity
- Own associate field assignments, coaching cadence, competency rubrics, individual development plans, and quarterly readiness reviews
- Ensure associates progress from observing to assisting to independently executing approved activities
- Allocate associates objectively across regions and priorities using a visible, weighted scoring framework
- Resolve competing regional requests
- Set individual and program-level goals and coach associate performance
- Document performance issues, recognize achievement, and own formal performance management processes
- Own quarterly milestone scoring for the associate incentive plan and submit payout recommendations through the approved compensation process
- Maintain calibration with RSDs and EAMs to ensure effective field support and clear reporting lines
- Maintain a visible talent slate and track anticipated EAM openings to inform promotion timing and deployment decisions
- Report on associate productivity, opportunity contribution, evaluation support, readiness progression, retention, time-to-promotion, and post-promotion performance
- Compile readiness documentation and 90-day performance trends for QBR/business plan assessments and structured interviews
- Incorporate RSD field input into assessments
Requirements:
- BS/BA in related discipline
- Prefer 3–4 years of experience in medical devices, biotechnology, and tissue biologics within the healthcare industry
- 3–5 years of experience in sales leadership, field sales management, sales training/enablement, or talent development, ideally within healthcare, medical device, or a related industry
- Experience with skin substitutes preferred
- Previous experience in startup and medium-sized companies preferred, not required
- Previous experience in OR, Value Analysis, wound care, and startup environments strongly preferred
- Previous experience in skin substitutes strongly preferred
