Job Description

Oncology Business Development Associate at MERIT CRO, Inc. contributing to sales initiatives in Texas, Arizona, or the Chicago region. Seeking candidates with a background in life sciences and oncology.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the Oncology Sales team daily activities and assist in executing sales initiatives
  • Maintain good customer relations and pursue new business opportunities
  • Perform account management duties
  • Generate customer leads, develop referrals, and make contacts to potential clients
  • Respond quickly to all leads identified as potential sales opportunities
  • Provide strong customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback within the CRM
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the Oncology management team
  • Assist in researching, analyzing, and communicating factors affecting sales strategies
  • Participate in promotional activities that meet enterprise goals
  • Assist in preparing responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) and grant opportunities
  • Organize and prioritize work assignments to complete tasks on time with quality
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships and communications with all employees.

Requirements:

  • A Life Science/ Business Bachelor's or Master's Degree
  • 1-2 years of prior relevant experience with clinical trials, a plus
  • Relevant experience with a Contract Research Organization, a plus
  • Strong interest in the oncology field
  • An ability to cultivate and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
  • Knowledge of oncology, pharma or CRO space, a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the designated territory.
  • Successful completion of a sales training program within 3 months of hire.
