Job Description
Back-end and integration engineer building middleware, APIs, and cloud integrations for DaVita’s healthcare digital platforms. Connecting Salesforce, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and enterprise systems.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical liaison between Marketing and Enterprise IT
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions
- Design, build, and maintain back-end services, APIs, and automated solutions
- Develop and support secure middleware and backend-for-frontend (BFF) services integrating with DaVita enterprise systems
- Support and execute cloud database migrations and architecture modernization
- Design, implement, and maintain integrations between digital platforms and Salesforce
- Support database interactions and data management in Microsoft SQL Server and Google Cloud SQL
- Optimize application security, risk compliance, and back-end performance according to OWASP best practices
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, contributing to architecture decisions, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and engineering standards
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and cross-functional partners using Agile/Scrum methodologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
- 7+ years of professional software development experience focusing on back-end engineering, middleware, and systems integration
- Deep technical proficiency in building Node.js middleware and API integration layers
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery and Cloud SQL
- Advanced proficiency in SQL database design, querying, management, and executing cloud database migrations
- Comprehensive understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
