Job Description
Part-time Hershey Territory Sales Associate selling and merchandising candy products across Grants Pass-area retailers. Driving between stores, building displays, replenishing products, and reporting daily activity.
Responsibilities:
- Sell Hershey items and ensure 100% distribution of authorized items in the assigned territory
- Execute headquarters sales and merchandising plans across various retailers
- Build displays, increase distribution of top-selling items, and replenish permanent secondary displays
- Achieve merchandising objectives using permanent secondary displays and other display vehicles
- Use consultative selling, influence, negotiation, and problem-solving techniques
- Develop retail priorities and strategies before each store call
- Visit approximately 6–10+ accounts per day
- Report weekly activity, expenses, account changes, promotions, and administrative information
- Report daily activities using tablets at the end of each day
- Partner with store leadership, internal teams, and peers to implement strategies and solve problems
Requirements:
- Must have a valid US state-issued driver’s license
- Must have a personal vehicle in sound operating condition
- Must maintain personal auto insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000 per person / $100,000 per accident / $100,000 property damage, permitting business use
- Must reside or be willing to commute within the listed territory boundaries
- Must be able to drive long distances and make multiple sales calls daily
- Must be able to lift 10–40 lbs. regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and demonstrate manual dexterity frequently, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to use tablet technology
- Must have daily access to wireless internet
- Must have flexibility and adaptability to changes in territory coverage
- Availability to work 20–25 hours per week
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3–4 years of food merchandising experience preferred but not required
