Job Description
People Technology Analyst supporting Workday operations at Affirm. Optimizing systems for employee self-service and compliance with legal requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day Workday operations, including onboarding and offboarding processes, data loads, and troubleshooting across modules like HCM, Recruiting, Absence, and Time Tracking.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and consistent people data across systems.
- Work closely with our corporate legal team to ensure our system processes and procedures are following local, legal requirements.
- Support compliance and audit efforts through careful data management and documentation.
- Partner with People, IT, and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to automate or simplify manual processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects that enhance employee and manager self-service.
- Help document workflows, configuration decisions, and system changes for transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Act as a trusted resource for employee Workday questions.
- Support the creation of learning resources and guides that empower users to navigate Workday confidently.
- Contribute to a positive employee experience by ensuring systems are intuitive, accessible, and reliable.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Information Systems, or related field.
- 1+ year of experience working with Workday or other major HRIS platforms.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Clear communicator who enjoys solving problems and supporting others.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and comfort working with data.
- Experience supporting Workday operations or configuration.
- Familiarity with HR processes (onboarding, offboarding, employee transactions, compliance).
- Experience in a fast-paced, scaling, or fintech environment.
- Demonstrated aptitude, initiative, and ownership in developing people technology skills — with a strong desire and drive to continuously learn, grow, and expand expertise in this space.
