Job Description

Lead strategic management of Claims product area for an InsurTech firm based in Berlin. Shape product strategy and oversee product initiatives in insurance processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Take functional and strategic responsibility for one of the most business-critical areas of our platform: claims processes (Claims).
  • Develop a sustainable product strategy for the Claims area and own large product initiatives end-to-end.
  • Prioritize strategic topics across multiple quarters and apply product-management methods in a targeted, data-driven way.
  • Independently conduct complex discovery processes, including user research with claims experts, business stakeholders and operational teams.
  • Work closely with Engineering on architecture, system design, interfaces, data models and workflows.

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in product management, with a significant portion in the insurance sector, ideally with a clear focus on claims / claims processes.
  • Solid understanding of claims processes, claims handling, automation, validation rules, exception cases and the operational realities of everyday insurance work.
  • Proven experience in long-term product planning, making difficult prioritization decisions and deliberately accepting trade-offs, ideally for products with at least €1M ARR.
  • Strong understanding of modern software architectures, APIs, workflows and data models; ability to assess technical concepts and discuss them with Engineering on equal terms.
  • Very good German and English skills (at least C1) spoken and written.
