Job Description
Principal Product Manager leading ACI Worldwide’s card payment solutions product line. Driving strategy, releases, go-to-market execution, adoption, and financial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the card solutions product line and drive product strategy, direction, vision, roadmap, and adoption
- Understand customer pain points, market opportunities, competition, and payments-industry trends
- Partner with marketing, product marketing, channels, sales, and other teams to develop go-to-market strategy and articulate product value
- Elicit, validate, document, and present stakeholder and market requirements
- Serve as the primary product and target-market subject matter expert
- Define market segments, product positioning, distribution strategy, release cadence, and comprehensive release plans
- Drive product integration across the portfolio and recommend buy, build, or partner delivery approaches
- Support launches, ensure sales enablement tools are delivered, train sales teams, and monitor launch effectiveness
- Manage pricing, packaging, product lifecycle, investment levels, product sunsets, and operational KPIs
- Establish five-year and one-year financial goals, budgets, business cases, funding requests, and forecasts
- Monitor financial performance and execute corrective or proactive measures to achieve revenue, profit, and margin goals
- Improve organizational processes and tools
- Manage a product line responsible for over 50% of revenue
- Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and extensively with prospects, customers, vendors, and analysts
- Demonstrate thought leadership through conferences, blogs, and published papers
- Adhere to corporate policies, including the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 8-12 years related experience in an industry-related role such as technical support, product management, or product development with exposure to marketing
- Deep and broad understanding and experience in all aspects of product management
- Experience obtaining and validating stakeholder requirements
- Experience conducting payments-stakeholder research and using Voice-of-Customer techniques
- Ability to prioritize requirements and use analysis and modeling techniques
- Knowledge of the payments industry, customer base, and applied technology
- Knowledge and understanding of products, competitive offerings, and market drivers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to create quality, easy-to-understand papers and presentations
- Ability to work independently with autonomy for decision-making
- Travel required
