Job Description

Product Manager translating university needs into AI-agent specifications and implementations. EducationDynamics helps colleges and universities serve Modern Learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead discovery workshops and requirements sessions
  • Support pilots and triage escalations through go-live
  • Manage several concurrent institutional engagements and technology stacks
  • Partner with university leaders to uncover needs and understand systems and data
  • Translate business requirements into clear engineering specifications
  • Partner with engineering on source-system mapping and ingestion design
  • Identify gaps between client data expectations and actual data
  • Develop PRDs, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria for EDDY agents
  • Make and document decisions that do not change scope, cost, or client commitments
  • Collaborate with client and engineering teams to deliver AI products for higher education
  • Stay involved from discovery through go-live
  • Support distributed teams and external engineering partners

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in product management, implementation leadership, or client-facing product delivery
  • At least 3 years working in or for higher education
  • Deep experience with at least one higher education system of record, such as a CRM, SIS, or LMS
  • Working fluency in SQL and data modeling
  • Ability to read schemas, identify problematic joins, and participate in architecture reviews
  • Practical understanding of LLM-based and agentic systems, including retrieval, evaluation, and common failure modes
  • Ability to lead requirements conversations with campus stakeholders and work directly with engineers to turn findings into buildable specifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Track record of producing clear specifications and keeping clients and distributed teams aligned
  • Sound judgment and creative problem-solving when requirements are incomplete
  • Preferred: additional experience in enrollment management, student retention, or student success
  • Preferred: exposure to Databricks, dbt, or a modern lakehouse stack
  • Ability to travel approximately 20–30% for discovery workshops and pilot kickoffs
  • Meaningful overlap during Eastern Time business hours
  • Clear written documentation
