Job Description

Project Manager leading complex projects within the strategic PMO for timely and budget-conscious implementation across various sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the successful implementation of complex projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within scope and budget.
  • Function as the point of contact with external partners as well as Project Sponsor, Project Manager, and Third-Party Administrators (vendors).
  • Lead a wide variety of projects from new client SaaS and BPaaS implementations to professional services and IT projects.
  • Collaborate across teams, influencing change, and providing clear communication as you manage high dollar, highly strategic projects for your stakeholders and our customers.
  • Lead entire teams; coordinate internal and external resources and vendors.
  • Actively plan and manage projects holistically around schedule, scope, cost, resources, and the risks that may arise.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Lead ongoing cross functional workstream meetings on all assigned projects with various client contacts and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders while leading meetings such as kick off, status/daily stand-ups, sprint planning, key steering, and leadership reviews and more to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Plan and own project finances, knowing key payment dates, Cap/OpEx splits, etc.
  • Identify and produce resource plans to set your project up for success.
  • Collaborate across functions to produce go-live and post-live operational plans; ensure a seamless transition to internal operations and client services teams.
  • Adhere to established project timelines including development of detailed project plans aligning to project milestones and contractual obligations.
  • Minimize project obstacles and potential risks by following risk management procedures.
  • Prepare and deliver ongoing project progress reports to various levels of internal and external stakeholders such as plan sponsors, leadership, third party administrators and vendors.
  • Prepare, manage, and maintain project budgets based on scope of work and resource requirements.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and communicate expected deliverables.
  • Utilize industry best practices and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of project management experience
  • Government sponsored healthcare or similar highly regulated industry experience
  • Project Management software experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Experience meeting deadlines and ability to pivot during unexpected changes
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons or high volume
  • Understanding of project management methodology and disciplines
  • Experience in communicating with external customers and third-party administrators/vendors
  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
  • Critical and creative thinking
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • PMP Certification® – is an advantage but not a requirement.
