Job Description

Home-based Recruiter/Scheduler managing caregiver recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling for a U.S.-based healthcare business. Ensuring shifts are filled and patient care coverage is maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Advertise consistently across several platforms that 2nd Family is currently hiring
  • Cultivate a consistent flow of job applications and pre-screen applicants based on 2nd Family criteria
  • Schedule interviews and provide interviewers with resumes and phone pre-screen notes
  • Collect new caregiver information and complete employee files
  • Process onboarding paperwork, obtain required signatures, and email the Orientation Manual
  • Enter caregiver information accurately and timely into AxisCare
  • Scan and save necessary documents online
  • Collect updated copies of expired caregiver documents
  • Complete scheduling by close of business on Wednesdays for the following two full weeks
  • Follow up on unconfirmed shifts
  • Call, text, and email caregivers to fill shifts
  • Participate in the weekend on-call rotation
  • Request assistance from office assistants or management for scheduling tasks when needed
  • Make every effort to fill shifts more than 48 hours before shift start

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • 1–3 years of scheduling, HR coordination, or relevant admin experience in a healthcare or medical setting
  • Familiar with medical terminology and health insurance basics
  • Strong English communication skills, written and verbal
  • Must be available to work 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Skilled in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
  • Experience using scheduling systems
  • Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Professional and efficient verbal and written English communication
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Thorough and methodical attention to detail
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly to last-minute changes
