Job Description
Home-based Recruiter/Scheduler managing caregiver recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling for a U.S.-based healthcare business. Ensuring shifts are filled and patient care coverage is maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Advertise consistently across several platforms that 2nd Family is currently hiring
- Cultivate a consistent flow of job applications and pre-screen applicants based on 2nd Family criteria
- Schedule interviews and provide interviewers with resumes and phone pre-screen notes
- Collect new caregiver information and complete employee files
- Process onboarding paperwork, obtain required signatures, and email the Orientation Manual
- Enter caregiver information accurately and timely into AxisCare
- Scan and save necessary documents online
- Collect updated copies of expired caregiver documents
- Complete scheduling by close of business on Wednesdays for the following two full weeks
- Follow up on unconfirmed shifts
- Call, text, and email caregivers to fill shifts
- Participate in the weekend on-call rotation
- Request assistance from office assistants or management for scheduling tasks when needed
- Make every effort to fill shifts more than 48 hours before shift start
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
- 1–3 years of scheduling, HR coordination, or relevant admin experience in a healthcare or medical setting
- Familiar with medical terminology and health insurance basics
- Strong English communication skills, written and verbal
- Must be available to work 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Skilled in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
- Experience using scheduling systems
- Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines
- Professional and efficient verbal and written English communication
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Thorough and methodical attention to detail
- Ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly to last-minute changes
