Job Description

Regional Operations Manager overseeing HVAC wholesale branches across sales, customer service, staffing, inventory, and profitability. Coaching Branch Managers and coordinating operations, HR, sales, and corporate teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Branch Managers through coaching, training, and direction to achieve branch sales, customer service, profitability, and asset management goals
  • Assist with hiring, training, performance management, annual and midyear evaluations, and corrective actions
  • Ensure branches and employees follow company procedures, policies, safety standards, and work instructions
  • Resolve customer issues, complaints, and transactions when necessary
  • Manage, supervise, conduct, and follow up on Branch Visit Guides and resolve deficiencies
  • Assist with forecasting inventory needs and ensure adequate product inventory is available and in good condition
  • Resolve operations issues by communicating with the DOM, Regional Manager, or corporate office
  • Ensure account sales are monitored and accounts are worked via CRM
  • Review branch P&Ls and guide deficient areas back on track
  • Work with the Region Manager and Territory Sales Managers to achieve overall sales goals
  • Act as a support line for sales
  • Develop branch staffing and talent pipelines with the HR Business Partner, including networking and participating in the Branch Manager Training program
  • Ensure employees receive sufficient role training and coordinate with corporate office, HR, and company trainers
  • Liaise with corporate real estate and operations on branch openings, closings, relocations, and layout planning
  • Conduct real estate building and location evaluations
  • Perform additional projects and duties supporting ongoing business needs

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • 4 Year degree or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to exercise good judgment
  • Product knowledge and understanding of the HVAC industry
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent computer knowledge, including AS400 and Microsoft Office
  • General knowledge of HVAC wholesale experience
  • Knowledge of warehousing, inventory, and facility lease agreements
  • Strong knowledge of sales P&Ls
  • Good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity
  • Ability to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
