Job Description
Revenue Operations Accounting Manager guiding SaaS deal review and quote-to-cash operations. Building accounting workflows for Bestow’s life-insurance technology platform.
Responsibilities:
- Own the accounting seat in the deal desk, reviewing MSAs, order forms, SOWs, and amendments before execution for revenue recognition implications
- Identify and escalate ASC 606 issues in active deals, including multi-element arrangements, performance obligations, SSP allocation, variable consideration, contract modifications, cancellation and refund provisions, SLA credits, and principal-versus-agent questions
- Advise Sales, Legal, and Strategic Finance on deal structure in real time and propose commercially effective structures that limit downstream complexity
- Build deal review workflows, approval thresholds, deal checklists, and documentation standards
- Translate accounting requirements into commercial language and serve as a solution-oriented business partner
- Own the handoff from executed contracts to accounting and billing system setup
- Partner with Sales Operations on CRM/CPQ and billing system accuracy
- Manage workflows for contract amendments, renewals, and upsells across systems
- Build and maintain contract intake processes and documentation standards
- Act as the primary accounting partner to Sales, Sales Operations, Strategic Finance, and Legal
- Align with the Sales Operations Manager on deal structure, pricing mechanics, and quote-to-cash handoffs
- Support the Controller and Revenue Accounting Manager with complex-deal revenue recognition context during close and audit
- Support Strategic Finance with SaaS business-metric implications
- Contribute to commercial governance policies, non-standard-terms guidance, and cross-functional training
Requirements:
- CPA required
- 6+ years of accounting experience
- At least 3 years in a deal desk, contract review, or revenue operations accounting capacity at a SaaS company
- Hands-on deal desk experience reviewing contracts and advising Sales during negotiations
- Experience designing deal review playbooks, intake workflows, and approval matrices
- Working understanding of SaaS metrics including ARR, NRR, bookings, and renewals
- Fluent in usage-based and hybrid billing models, SSP allocation, principal vs. agent analysis, variable consideration, contract modifications, and multi-element arrangement accounting
- Operationally minded senior contributor able to work independently without direct reports
- Understanding of B2B SaaS enterprise deal structures and revenue recognition complexity
- Demonstrated use of AI and automation in financial operations; comfortable with AI tools
- Experience with CPQ/CRM tools and billing systems, such as Salesforce and NetSuite, strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Tableau and BigQuery is a plus
- Public accounting background, Big 4 or mid-tier, required
- SaaS industry experience required
- Eligible to work in the United States; Bestow uses E-Verify for newly hired employees
- Residence in the contiguous 48 states of the United States
