Job Description

Sales Account Manager selling Agilent laboratory consumables, including chromatography columns and sample preparation solutions. Managing North Italy accounts through remote work and customer-site travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive existing and/or new sales across accounts and industries in the designated territory
  • Develop accounts and maintain positive, ongoing long-term relationships with key customers
  • Understand customer needs and identify solutions to non-standard tasks and queries to create business opportunities
  • Promote and sell products and/or solutions to current or new customers
  • Inform customers of new product introductions
  • Create, monitor and revise lead generation plans
  • Determine and develop approaches to sales assignments to achieve quota and strategies
  • Lead projects requiring coordination with other functions and organizations
  • Drive the success of Agilent’s Chemistries & Supplies consumables portfolio, including GC and HPLC columns, sample preparation solutions, spectroscopy and laboratory supplies
  • Travel to customer sites across North Italy, especially in the Lombardian region

Requirements:

  • University degree in Chemistry, preferably Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry, or another Life Sciences-related field
  • Experience in sales to laboratory environments, preferably with a strong focus on the Pharma and Biopharma industries
  • Good knowledge of laboratory workflows
  • Good knowledge of analytical techniques such as chromatography, spectrometry and/or spectroscopy
  • Full proficiency in Italian
  • At least good level of English
  • Autonomous, outgoing and customer-focused
  • Excellent interpersonal and persuasion skills
  • Can-do attitude and resilience
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time
  • Ability to work remotely combined with travel to customer sites across North Italy, especially the Lombardian region
