Job Description

Sales Engineer growing Socomec’s electrical power switching and monitoring business across Wallonie. Developing customer accounts, technical proposals, and sales opportunities in Belgium’s electrotechnical market.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Sales Manager.
  • Drive sales growth and develop long-term customer relationships within the territory.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of customers and key accounts within the Wallonie region.
  • Promote the full range of Power Switching & Monitoring solutions.
  • Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Analyze customer needs and propose adapted technical solutions.
  • Prepare commercial and technical quotations.
  • Organize customer visits and maintain a strong field presence.
  • Negotiate and follow up on offers to secure orders.
  • Monitor sales activity and implement action plans to achieve targets.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipelines, customer data and opportunities within the CRM.
  • Build long-term customer satisfaction through professional relationship management.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to support business growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electrical Power Distribution, Telecommunications, IT Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Alternatively, a business degree combined with a solid electrical engineering background.
  • Successful experience in a field sales role within the electrical or electrotechnical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the Belgian and Luxembourg electrical market.
  • Existing network among electrical contractors, panel builders, consultants, distributors or end-users is a strong advantage.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office tools and CRM/ERP systems.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Fluent French.
  • Good level of Flemish.
  • Professional English.
