Job Description

Sales Manager driving private aviation charter revenue for Planet 9 Private Air. Managing high-value client relationships, charter sales cycles, and strategic sales support.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the full sales cycle, including quoting, negotiating, and closing charter trips across the Planet Nine fleet
  • Build and maintain relationships with brokers, direct clients, and key industry contacts
  • Support the Executive Director of Sales with strategic sales planning, revenue forecasting, pipeline management, and executive-level client relationships
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex client needs, complaints, and high-value account management
  • Collaborate with Operations, Client Services, and Flight Crew to ensure seamless trip execution and client satisfaction
  • Lead and contribute to the development and training of junior sales team members
  • Research charter market trends, competitive landscape, and client demands; maintain strong industry networking
  • Support credit control by tracking and following up on outstanding invoices
  • Complete required training and maintain compliance with operational policies, safety procedures, and regulatory standards
  • Perform additional tasks or projects as needed to support team and organizational goals
  • Maintain availability outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as operational needs arise
  • Report to the Executive Director of Sales

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in private aviation charter sales
  • Established broker and direct client network within the private aviation industry
  • Ability to operate independently, make confident decisions, and manage competing priorities without close supervision
  • Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to close high-value deals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive-level presence
  • Proficiency in aviation quoting, CRM, and operating software
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with shifting priorities
  • Team-oriented mindset with ability to mentor and elevate colleagues
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Aviation, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of private aviation charter sales experience at a senior level
  • Experience operating as a senior partner to sales leadership, including managing up, influencing cross-functionally, and representing sales internally and externally
  • Knowledge of Part 135 operations and private aviation industry standards strongly preferred
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to travel to client meetings, industry events, and conferences as required
