Job Description

Medical device sales specialist growing DePuy Synthes orthopaedic technology adoption across North London and Herts. Managing healthcare accounts, surgical customer relationships, business plans, and training.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve agreed objectives and sales targets outlined in the annual performance cycle
  • Promote products to key customers and stakeholders in secondary care across the allocated geographical region
  • Lead management of the Specialty customer
  • Develop comprehensive territory business plans focused on high-value opportunities, new business, competitor share, new technology adoption, key customers, and core business
  • Manage and develop accounts and own customer relationships to maximise business growth
  • Work with the Regional Sales Manager and colleagues to define commercial requirements
  • Share external marketplace insights internally to shape future business plans
  • Analyse account strategies and plans using internal and external systems and data
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain tactical account business plans aligned with business and customer objectives
  • Prepare customer meeting plans and contingencies to deliver account milestones
  • Build relationship networks to identify opportunities to sell surgical technologies
  • Present brand value propositions and customer solutions to influence buying behaviours
  • Collaborate with Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices colleagues and commercial teams on business plans
  • Respond to support requests and share customer information through the CRM system
  • Contribute to regional business planning goals
  • Lead customer training activities
  • Partner with Professional Education to develop and maintain KOL relationships and promote professional education offerings
  • Act as an ambassador for Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices and its Credo

Requirements:

  • Proven successful track record in selling, ideally within the Medical Devices sector
  • Proactive networking skills; comfortable meeting new people and stimulating conversation
  • Ability to collaborate and work across functional boundaries
  • Influencing and business partnering skills
  • Ability to analyse stakeholder requirements and develop strategies that drive technology adoption
  • Ability to become a trusted business advisor and provide solutions
  • Ability to build customer trust through probing questions and consultative selling
  • Deep clinical expertise in the procedure and product knowledge
  • Up-to-date market and industry knowledge
  • Competence in the relevant procedural focus area and product portfolio
  • Technical understanding of information pertinent to the procedure and product platform
