Job Description
Senior Director leading partner sales and account growth for Thomson Reuters’ tax, trade, and legal software solutions. Managing strategic partnerships, enterprise clients, forecasts, and high-performing sales teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an account management strategy and business plan aligned with the Corporates segment strategy
- Lead strategy and operational excellence for an assigned territory or market segment
- Oversee strategic account plans to achieve sales targets, drive growth, maximize existing-customer revenue, and expand the customer base
- Act as a customer advocate and foster a customer-centric culture
- Build, lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing Partner Account Management team
- Establish team goals, KPIs, and performance metrics; provide feedback and coaching
- Deliver accurate and timely forecasting for the assigned territory or market segment
- Provide market and competitor feedback to inform pricing and customer-retention strategies
- Develop next-generation leaders through coaching
- Identify key competitors and potential acquisition targets
- Drive new customer acquisition and expansion through strategic Partner initiatives and account-based marketing campaigns
- Lead identification, pursuit, and closing of new-logo opportunities
- Identify and capitalize on partner-led upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Establish strategic partnerships with the Partnership & Alliances team
- Foster long-term relationships with key partners and stakeholders
- Address partner needs and escalations promptly and effectively
- Partner with solution consultants and pre-sales teams to develop tailored solutions
- Coordinate with professional services teams for successful implementation
- Collaborate with sales leadership and strategic partners on go-to-market campaigns
- Participate in joint strategic account planning
- Ensure partner-attach metrics are met or exceeded
- Collaborate with Industry & Product Specialists on product marketing campaigns
- Provide input on marketing materials and customer success stories
- Gather and analyze partner, customer, market, and competitor feedback for product-roadmap decisions
- Monitor, analyze, and report sales, renewal, and customer-satisfaction metrics
- Provide regular account-management updates to executive leadership
- Continuously improve account-management processes and team effectiveness
- Provide Quarterly Business Reviews covering financial performance, talent, growth opportunities, risks, and mitigation actions
Requirements:
- At least 10 years in a sales leadership role managing sales teams within complex software solutions environments
- Financial, tax and trade, or legal software solution sales experience preferable
- Significant experience meeting and exceeding sales/revenue goals
- Experience dealing globally with FTSE 100 and Fortune 1000 level clients
- Excellent client relationship management skills, including influencing and building relationships with C-Level and Department Head stakeholders
- Strong track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining a high-performing sales organization
- Entrepreneurial and results-driven approach; innovative, passionate, self-starter
- Flexibility in adjusting to new, different, and changing business requirements and decisions
- Ability to lead successfully in a dynamic, changing environment and work in a matrix organisation through strong influencing skills
- Proven ability to lead senior sales teams and manage tenured and experienced people
- Proficiency in CRM software, AI tools, and other sales tools to manage and track performance and accurately forecast deals
- Strong strategy and strategy execution skills
- Ability to motivate and engage teams and individuals to deliver exceptional performance
- Ability to collaborate as part of the Europe leadership team
