Job Description
Senior Full Stack Engineer developing user-facing experiences at Intersport's e-commerce unit. Collaborate across teams for impactful technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Build and improve user-facing experiences across search, navigation, category pages, filters, and recommendations
- Develop and maintain frontend applications with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and usability
- Contribute to backend services, APIs, and event-driven systems where needed
- Help shape technical decisions across architecture, tooling, and build-vs-buy questions
- Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to define and deliver impactful solutions
- Take ownership from idea to production, including quality, performance, and operational stability
Requirements:
- Several years of experience building and shipping complex web applications
- Strong frontend expertise with modern TypeScript-based frameworks
- Solid full stack engineering skills and willingness to work across frontend and backend
- Experience with server-side rendering and performance-oriented web development
- Good understanding of system design, APIs, databases, and cloud-based architectures
- Product mindset and the ability to balance technical quality with business impact
- Ability to ensure observability of systems in production, including metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting
- Experience with backend technologies such as Kotlin / Spring Boot, event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka), and cloud environments (AWS), or strong ability to ramp up quickly
- High level of ownership, self-direction, and comfort working in an autonomous team
- Strong communication skills in German and English
