Job Description

Partnerships sales leader securing sponsorship and value-in-kind deals for LOVB’s women’s volleyball league and clubs. Building revenue, brand relationships, and scalable activations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead outbound efforts to secure brand partnerships across sponsorship and value-based models
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline with next steps, CRM documentation, and forecasting transparency
  • Collaborate with agency partners to align outreach strategy, define lead ownership, and minimize overlap
  • Translate league, event, and athlete intellectual property into storytelling and partnership strategies
  • Structure and negotiate agreements involving financial contributions, products, services, or co-branded activations
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and leadership to ensure compliant, strategically aligned deal terms
  • Track commercial performance using CRM and internal tracking tools
  • Support transition from contract to activation with operations and marketing teams
  • Host and support partners at matches and events as a LOVB brand ambassador
  • Monitor sports sponsorship, integrated marketing, and strategic partnership trends
  • Attend industry events and conferences to represent LOVB and build relationships with brand and agency decision-makers
  • Forecast partnership contributions with Finance and internal leads
  • Help define KPIs for hybrid partnerships and track business impact

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline
  • 5–8 years of professional experience in partnerships, sponsorship sales, strategic marketing, or business development
  • Proven success driving partnership or sponsorship sales and securing high-impact, multi-stakeholder brand deals
  • Proven experience negotiating, structuring, and managing value-in-kind (VIK) agreements; required ability to maximize non-cash contributions for measurable business value
  • Proven track record securing and scaling revenue-generating partnerships with measurable business impact
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills for engaging senior brand marketers, C-suite executives, and agency partners
  • Ability to craft insight-led partnership narratives and pitch materials
  • Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements with Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders
  • Strong organization and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple deal cycles simultaneously
  • Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without direct authority
  • Ability to contribute to partnership strategy and go-to-market planning
  • Self-starter able to work in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Passion for women’s sports and belief in LOVB’s community-first approach preferred
  • Professional sports, sponsorship sales, or partnerships background strongly preferred
  • Ability to operate computers, keyboards, mice, and video conferencing tools
  • Ability to communicate clearly via video, phone, and written channels
  • Ability to work independently with a distributed, remote team
  • Occasional travel availability, including heavy travel during Pro season
