Job Description
Senior Media Relations Manager leading media strategy and public relations for Inizio Evoke, a global health communications agency. Managing client accounts, media outreach, and business development.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and run multiple key projects across accounts from planning through implementation
- Develop strategic media plans for clients with account leads
- Craft overarching communications tactics to help clients meet objectives
- Sell through media relations work for existing and new clients
- Manage media project timelines and deliverables
- Interact independently with clients as the media point person on accounts
- Interpret, develop, and manage clients' media strategy
- Use AI to create deliverables, analyze media trends, identify opportunities, and optimize media outreach strategies
- Provide strategic media counsel during client meetings and calls
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships with clients and journalists
- Articulate client stories and integrate information into compelling stories or deliverables
- Support new business proposals and participate in new business presentations
- Build existing accounts and expand potential revenue by providing ideas to senior managers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, marketing, business or health / science related field, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in public relations and communications; health or pharma communications experience required
- Experience in media relations, including pitching reporters and creating media lists
- Experience in highly scientific therapy areas, including oncology, rare disease, and neuroscience
- Understanding of Inizio Evoke Communications' missions and values and commitment to the company's growth and success
- Experience driving current or new business growth
- Passion for improving lives through innovations in health
- Good understanding of current issues in domestic and global health
