Job Description

Sr Pharmacy Account Executive at Cigna Pharmacy Management overseeing client pharmacy benefits and leading strategic solutions for health plans. Partnering with medical sales teams to enhance client satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a defined book of business by supporting client retention, satisfaction, and pharmacy performance outcomes
  • Serve as the pharmacy subject matter expert for internal stakeholders, clients, brokers, and consultants
  • Partner with medical sales teams to execute retention and growth strategies aligned to client goals
  • Lead client presentations and meetings, communicating performance results and recommending pharmacy solutions
  • Identify and advance opportunities to expand pharmacy programs and increase overall value to the client
  • Support pricing, competitive intelligence, and carve-out defense strategies to retain and grow accounts
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure effective service delivery and consistent client communication
  • Analyze pharmacy utilization and trends to provide consultative insights and recommendations
  • Support RFPs, finalist presentations, and implementation activities for new and existing business
  • Act as an escalation point for pharmacy-related client issues, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of PBM or pharmacy-related experience supporting client accounts
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy benefit management and healthcare operations
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze data and develop actionable client recommendations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to travel up to 30% based on business needs
