Job Description

Senior Relationship Manager for IonQ's single photon systems, focusing on revenue growth in North America. Driving sales through inbound leads and strategic relationships with institutional clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Own the sales pipeline for the North-American territory. You will manage a hybrid sales motion: rapidly converting short-cycle inbound leads while simultaneously nurturing complex, multi-stakeholder tenders to establish lasting market presence.
  • Sales Discipline (MEDDPICC): Apply MEDDPICC methodologies to rigorously qualify deals and ensure forecast accuracy. You will maintain impeccable discipline around CRM (Salesforce) hygiene to ensure data drives our decisions.
  • Interim Technical Advisory: Act as the primary technical interface for US clients during the build-out of our local Support team.
  • Channel Management: Empower and manage resellers and distributors in the America’s to maximize market reach and performance in the territory.
  • Brand & Technical Evangelism: Organize roadshows, lead workshops, and represent IDQ at key industry trade shows, translating our technical superiority into commercial value for renowned scientific groups.
  • Strategic Market Feedback: Monitor scientific literature to identify emerging applications and feed customer insights back to Product Management to influence the roadmap.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of technical sales experience with a track record of meeting quotas in scientific instrumentation, photonic system sales, and/or quantum technologies.
  • Proven application of MEDDPICC or similar strategic sales methodologies is essential.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work with autonomy and a high tolerance for ambiguity. You don't wait for permission; you assess the situation and act.
  • A strong desire to improve, be evaluated, and coached on an ongoing basis. You view feedback as fuel for professional growth.
  • Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (ability to understand single-photon instrumentation metrics).
  • Ability to travel periodically within the USA and Canada for client visits and trade shows and occasionally abroad to Europe/Switzerland.
