Job Description

Sr. Territory Manager driving AbbVie’s pharmaceutical eyecare sales, customer relationships, and brand performance. Managing territory plans, market intelligence, and healthcare-provider engagement in India.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, and related objectives
  • Create precall plans using SMART objectives and execute postcall evaluations to improve sales performance
  • Handle objections, misunderstandings, and concerns; gain logical calls to action to close sales calls
  • Serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted customer relationships and achieve win-win agreements
  • Develop and execute call plans to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency for key customers
  • Build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical, and sales expertise
  • Share market intelligence with infield, brand, and sales manager teams
  • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned health providers
  • Identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance

Requirements:

  • Any governmental and/or legal mandatory certification requirements as by respective country’s laws and/or regulations (if applicable)
  • Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business related field, or equivalent
  • Proven track record of success in selling
  • Solid presentation skills
  • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proficient use of business tools
  • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt selling approach
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment
  • Proven track record of success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas preferred
  • Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience such as physician/account based selling, training, managed health care or marketing preferred
  • English language proficiency verbally and in writing preferred for non-English-speaking countries
