Job Description
Solution Architect specializing in AI on Google Cloud Platform at Rox Partner consulting firm. Leading data and AI architecture initiatives in a rapidly growing company.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the definition of solution and systems architecture for strategic Data, Artificial Intelligence and enterprise application initiatives on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Design scalable, resilient, secure and highly available architectures for distributed applications, microservices and event-driven platforms.
- Define architectural standards for integration between applications, APIs, legacy systems, SAP, data platforms, AI solutions and cloud services.
- Serve as the primary technical reference among Architecture, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Infrastructure, Security and business areas.
- Define standards for development, integration, authentication, observability, messaging, versioning, documentation and governance of applications.
- Design architectures based on REST APIs, microservices, messaging, asynchronous processing and inter-system communication.
- Support the design of solutions that integrate enterprise applications with AI platforms, LLMs, intelligent agents and analytics services.
- Define integration strategies using APIs, Event-Driven Architecture, Pub/Sub and other distributed communication mechanisms.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture best practices, security, scalability, performance, observability and resilience.
- Support the evolution of the technology platform, proposing architectural improvements, application modernization and adoption of new technologies.
- Conduct technical assessments (As-Is and To-Be), identifying risks, opportunities and defining architectures aligned with the organization's strategy.
- Act as a technical reference for development teams, performing architectural reviews, supporting technical decisions and disseminating best practices.
- Work together with Data Architects, AI Architects, Product Owners and Engineering teams to ensure integrated and sustainable solutions.
Requirements:
- Solid experience as a Solutions Architect, Systems Architect, Solution Architect or Tech Lead on large-scale corporate projects.
- Proven experience defining architectures on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Mastery of key GCP services for application development, including Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, API Gateway, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Secret Manager, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring and Vertex AI.
- Experience defining architectures based on microservices, REST APIs, Event-Driven Architecture and distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise system integration, SAP, legacy applications and data platforms.
- Experience developing in Java, Kotlin, Python or Node.js, with an understanding of software architecture and engineering best practices.
- Familiarity with frameworks for building APIs and microservices such as Spring Boot, Quarkus, Micronaut, FastAPI or similar.
- Experience with messaging using Google Pub/Sub, Kafka or other equivalent platforms.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and application containerization.
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, DevSecOps and automation of delivery pipelines.
- Knowledge of architectural patterns, Design Patterns, Clean Architecture, DDD, SOLID and service-oriented architecture principles.
- Experience with authentication, authorization and security using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT and IAM.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, make architectural decisions and translate business needs into scalable solutions.
