Job Description
Advanced Analyst in Marketing joining dynamic team to drive impactful data analysis for tech client. Leading analytics for guest engagement campaigns and experiments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and run experiments end to end, including targeting decisions, measurement plans, and experiment readouts, for high-volume guest email and push campaigns
- Conduct strategic deep dives and advanced analyses, including guest segmentation and exploration of new parts of the guest lifecycle, to extract actionable insights that inform the roadmap
- Use internal tooling to build campaign audiences and to set up and review experiments
- Produce focused reporting that helps the team understand campaign performance and program-level trends
- Partner with marketing managers, marketing directors, marketing ops, and cross-functional teams to translate business questions into measurement plans and rigorous analyses
- Communicate findings and recommendations through clear written readouts and verbal storytelling, influencing decisions made by senior stakeholders
- Leverage AI tooling (e.g., Claude Code) to write SQL, accelerate analysis, and scale documentation
Requirements:
- 9+ years of analytics, data science, or measurement experience (flexibility for staff-level candidates with fewer years, or rock-star senior candidates close to staff)
- High proficiency in SQL for data analysis (must-have)
- Strong fluency with experimentation: A/B testing, experimental design, and causal inference (must-have)
- Proficiency in Python for analysis work; R is acceptable as an alternative
- Strong product analytics and experimentation background; comfort with offline modeling for analysis purposes (this is not a model-building role)
- Recent marketing or growth domain experience strongly preferred (ideally within the last several years; growth-hacking team experience also counts).
- Exceptional product analytics candidates may be considered without direct marketing experience.
- Marketplace experience is a plus; experience at top tech companies (e.g., Meta, Uber, Google, DoorDash, Lyft, Amazon, OpenAI, Anthropic, Netflix, LinkedIn, Spotify, Booking, Expedia, Stripe, Shopify, Instacart, Databricks, Disney, Etsy, and similar) is helpful
- Comfortable using AI to write SQL, run analysis, and produce documentation; experience with Claude Code is a plus
- Exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to make informed judgments
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven track record of working seamlessly across different teams and partners
- Positive, collaborative personality and a commitment to ensuring all activities undertaken are as successful as possible
- Extremely capable of independently structuring and managing fast-paced and sometimes complex workflows and priorities
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD required. Flexibility for candidates with 10+ years of experience at top technology companies.
- Ability to work independently with stakeholders, write requirements, and solve analytical problems in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Strong ability to serve as a liaison between business and technical teams
- Excellent teamwork skills and ability to build relationships at all levels
