Job Description

Supplier Development Consultant for Libbs Farmacêutica, a Brazilian pharmaceutical company. Focused on sourcing and supplier management in a regulated market.

Responsibilities:

  • Support management in defining guidelines, as well as lead mapping and prospecting processes for suppliers of production inputs for new products and second-source opportunities, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements and alignment with the company’s needs.
  • Monitor the daily operations and execution of the department’s activities, identify process improvement opportunities based on what adds value to projects and to Libbs, and propose and implement necessary changes, including review of RACIs.
  • Lead and challenge multidisciplinary risk assessments to determine manufacturers and/or suppliers, and identify negotiation opportunities to secure the best possible terms for Libbs while establishing long-term partnerships for newly developed items.
  • Develop and implement methods to monitor the lifecycle of APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) in development and on commercial lines, anticipate potential supply chain risks, and execute mitigation actions such as adding a second source—either internal manufacturing or an external supplier.
  • Identify, analyze and prepare mitigation plans for potential risks in the supply chain for projects under your responsibility.
  • Accompany technical and commercial visits from strategic suppliers (domestic and international), attend trade shows and similar events to develop long-term commercial partnerships.
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners or suppliers, and disseminate the supplier development process guidelines.

Requirements:

  • University degree (completed).
  • Prior experience in regulated markets, preferably in the pharmaceutical, chemical or food industries.
  • Advanced English.
  • Prior experience in negotiation and strategic sourcing.
  • Experience in supplier development and working in regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of project management and partnership building.
