Job Description
Correspondent Account Executive developing U.S. Bank’s mortgage-originator network and purchasing loans. Coordinating lender training, underwriting, closings, funding, and sales growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a high-quality and profitable external network of correspondent originators for loan purchases in an assigned area
- Service correspondent lender accounts through introducing and training on new loan programs
- Coordinate underwriting, commitments, closings, and funding of loans submitted for purchase
- Gather market-specific information
- Attend correspondent functions and trade shows
- Develop and enforce quality control measures
- Ensure loan origination sources meet division requirements and procedures
- Solicit sales and conduct sales-related activities away from U.S. Bancorp locations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three to five years of experience in mortgage sales
- Three or more years of lending experience
- Ability to travel
- Extensive knowledge of business development techniques, sales development and planning
- Demonstrated ability to sell service-based products and create awareness, interest, and demand to meet production goals
- Working knowledge of whole loan purchase requirements and procedures, from correspondent seller approval through underwriting, funding, and loan delivery
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and workplace conduct and safety policies
