Job Description

Account Executive selling MCA’s wireless communication, data, and security solutions to public safety agencies. Developing territories, managing sales cycles, and growing customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and state public safety agencies throughout the assigned territory
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding operational challenges and recommending tailored communication technology solutions
  • Develop new business opportunities while strengthening and expanding existing customer relationships
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial customer engagement and opportunity development through closing and ongoing account growth
  • Collaborate across the organization to deliver exceptional customer experiences and foster long-term customer loyalty
  • Develop and execute territory strategies that drive revenue growth and support business objectives
  • Follow up on leads and customer opportunities with urgency and professionalism
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings
  • Advance MCA’s position as a trusted communications partner for public safety agencies
  • Travel regularly within the assigned territory to meet clients, attend events, and build and maintain customer relationships
  • No direct reports

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of sales or public safety experience preferred, OR 5+ years of direct sales or public safety experience
  • Proven expertise in public safety, gained through direct service (e.g., police, fire, EMS) or sales roles focused on public safety markets
  • Knowledge of Two-Way Radio, Land Mobile Radio, or critical communications is a plus
  • Track record of achieving performance goals and driving measurable results
  • Ability to build credibility with public safety stakeholders and understand operational challenges
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative, service-first mindset
  • Ability to clearly articulate product features, benefits, and value to customers
  • Strong self-motivation and personal drive
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • High-energy, results-driven approach with attention to detail and accountability
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check
  • Candidates must reside in the state of Virginia
  • Comfortable managing schedule and traveling independently within the assigned territory
