Job Description
Remote Account Manager nurturing customer relationships and expanding cloud revenue for DoiT’s multicloud technology platform. Managing escalations, renewals, cloud opportunities, and vendor collaboration across Japan and APAC.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of DoiT’s business, cloud management platform, support, services, and customer needs
- Own customer knowledge, context, communication, and relationships
- Coordinate with vendor teams on account growth opportunities and revenue potential
- Manage customer support escalations through resolution
- Negotiate and close long-term commitments with key stakeholders
- Identify new workload opportunities within customer cloud environments and SaaS solutions
- Generate new-logo sales to expand the territory
- Establish a regular engagement cadence across the customer portfolio
- Aggregate customer feedback to align products and solutions with customer needs
- Provide customer feedback to engineering teams and help prioritize development deliverables
- Deliver quarterly customer reviews covering project timelines, cloud-platform spending, and support engagement
- Identify cloud cost-optimization opportunities
- Work with cloud-vendor sales representatives on mutual customers
- Travel occasionally within Japan and the broader APAC region
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in an Account Management/Customer Success/Customer Engineering role
- 3+ years of experience at a technology company
- Strong verbal/written communication skills in Japanese and English
- Strong technical skills enabling productive engagement with technical teams
- Ability to build influential relationships
- Excellent operational/administration skills
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Ability to work from the big picture to detailed minutiae
- Desire to grow within the organization and continuously broaden skill sets
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or other major public clouds (bonus)
- Cloud Certifications, such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or Google Cloud Digital Leader (bonus)
