Job Description
Account Manager nurturing Japanese customer relationships for DoiT’s multicloud technology platform. Driving cloud expansion, renewals, cost optimization, and vendor collaboration across APAC.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of DoiT’s business, cloud management platform, support, and services
- Maintain ownership and context of assigned customers and communicate with vendor teams about growth opportunities
- Manage customer support escalations through resolution
- Negotiate and close long-term commitments with key stakeholders
- Identify new workload opportunities within customer cloud environments and SaaS solutions
- Generate new-logo sales to expand the territory
- Establish a regular cadence with the complete customer portfolio
- Aggregate customer feedback to align products and solutions with customer needs
- Provide customer feedback to engineering teams and help prioritize development deliverables
- Deliver quarterly customer reviews covering project timelines, projected cloud spending, and support engagement
- Identify cost optimization opportunities in customer cloud environments
- Work with cloud vendor sales representatives on mutual customers
- Travel occasionally within Japan and the broader APAC region
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in an Account Management/Customer Success/Customer Engineering role
- 3+ years of experience at a technology company
- Strong verbal/written communication skills in Japanese and English
- Strong technical skills enabling productive engagement with technical teams
- Ability to build influential relationships
- Excellent operational/administration skills
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Ability to move between the big picture and minute details
- Desire to grow within the organization and continuously broaden skill sets
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or other major public clouds (bonus)
- Cloud Certifications, including AWS Cloud Practitioner or Google Cloud Digital Leader (bonus)
- Additional languages (bonus)
- Candidates in Thailand, Singapore, or Australia must have native or near-native Japanese proficiency
