Job Description
Abbott Account Manager selling point-of-care diagnostics across Tennessee healthcare accounts. Managing distributors, strategic sales opportunities, technical support, and customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Abbott’s Cardiometabolic product portfolio across the Tennessee territory
- Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities
- Establish, develop, and maintain business and client relationships
- Strategically develop point-of-care sales opportunities
- Implement sales, marketing, and national account programs as directed by management
- Build and maintain strong competitive product knowledge
- Contribute to regional growth by understanding Account Representatives’ objectives and goals
- Assist with complex sales by providing technical expertise
- Meet established sales goals and objectives while maintaining the territory budget
- Plan, coordinate, and manage distributor sales forces in the assigned territory
- Train and develop distributor sales forces to effectively represent Abbott products
- Support distribution partners through training, sales meetings, technical expertise, and marketing support
- Act as a resource for contract negotiation, pricing, proposals, bid preparation, and customer follow-up
- Identify customer issues and resolve sales-related difficulties
- Work with Technical Consultants and Enterprise Account Managers in a team environment
- Work independently to uncover unmet market needs
Requirements:
- BA/BS
- 4+ years’ experience in medical diagnostics or business-to-business sales
- Strong knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies
- Demonstrated ability in execution of sales strategies
- Proven successful POC/Capital Equipment sales experience
- Contract negotiation experience (preferred)
- Understanding and experience working with Distribution Partners (preferred)
- Complex/strategic selling background (preferred)
- Experience balancing multiple stakeholders (preferred)
- Ability to travel 50% of the time
- Ability to drive a personal auto or company car or truck
