Job Description
Humana Broker Relationship Manager supporting Medicare agents, agencies, and partners across California. Driving market sales strategy, growth, and consistent field-agent experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all available resources to achieve sales growth, improve results, and meet operational goals within the assigned market
- Coordinate sales efforts on a national level
- Maintain and support external field sales resources, including individual agents, agencies, and partners
- Develop external market engagement and sales strategy with the Director, local markets, tele-sales executives, and account executives
- Coordinate sales support
- Collaborate with other Broker Relationship Managers to support national and regional partners
- Ensure a consistent agent experience across all markets
- Support the well-being and Medicare-related service goals of Humana’s consumers
Requirements:
- Ability to have almost daily face to face interactions with field sales resources
- Active Health Insurance license within the stated region OR ability and willingness to obtain within 90 days
- 5+ years of sales experience (B2B, B2C)
- Prior experience using CRM tools, Sales/Marketing Resources, Microsoft Office with proficiency in TEAMS, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Valid state driver’s license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance meeting at least 25/25/10 coverage limits (or higher, based on state requirements)
- Must reside or be willing to relocate to the assigned region (San Diego, CA)
- Approximately 50% or more travel with some overnight stays
- Standard business hours with some weekends and evenings based on business needs
- Home internet with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed
- Dedicated work space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
- 2+ years of sales experience in the Medicare industry (preferred)
- Prior experience with public speaking and presentations (preferred)
- Prior background as an insurance broker or independent agent (preferred)
- Bilingual English and Spanish without limitations or assistance (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Prior sales leadership experience leading and training a team of sales associates, utilizing technology tools, and building relationships with communities and medical providers (preferred)
