Job Description
Business Development Manager driving sales growth for wire and cable solutions across Western Canada. Building relationships with EPCs and contractors in key industrial sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new opportunities with EPCs, OEMs, and end users in Western Canada.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow market share.
- Provide technical support and product recommendations for wire and cable applications.
- Conduct product presentations, training sessions, and lunch-and-learns for engineering teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers at EPCs and end-user customers.
- Collaborate with distributors to maximize coverage and sales.
- Identify future major projects and track them from design through execution, ensuring specification and approval of products.
- Support bid processes and provide accurate technical and commercial proposals.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and project developments.
- Provide feedback to marketing and product teams for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
- 15+ years in technical sales within wire & cable, electrical products, or industrial solutions.
- Proven track record of selling to and through EPCs and large industrial accounts.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to interpret specifications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-starter with ability to manage territory independently.
