Job Description

Business Development Manager expanding refurbed’s refurbished musical instruments marketplace. Sourcing sellers, closing enterprise deals, and growing partner accounts across Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize sellers and brands within the Musical Instruments category
  • Build a strong and differentiated seller and brand pipeline
  • Analyze market trends, demand signals, and assortment gaps
  • Shape the category’s acquisition and growth strategy
  • Lead the full sales cycle independently from outreach and business case development through contract negotiation and deal closure
  • Solve prospective sellers’ commercial, operational, and technical requirements in collaboration with internal teams
  • Guide new partners through marketplace processes for smooth onboarding and successful go-live
  • Own and grow a defined seller portfolio across countries, categories, and products
  • Build and maintain strong seller relationships while representing refurbed’s position
  • Represent refurbed at industry fairs, events, and conferences

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Account Management or Partnerships
  • Experience ideally within marketplace, retail, or e-commerce environments working with brands and resellers
  • Fluent English
  • Additional European language such as German or Italian is a strong plus
  • Proven track record of closing enterprise-level deals
  • Experience managing long sales cycles end-to-end and/or managing and growing accounts
  • Strong communication, influencing, persuasion, and commercial acumen skills
  • Resilience and persistence
  • Structured, analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand complex business and operational setups quickly
  • Tech and AI-first mindset
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Based in Europe, including the UK, with a valid right to work
