Job Description
Business Development Manager growing First Table, a dining discovery platform, by winning restaurant partners across Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Newcastle. Managing territory sales from prospecting through onboarding.
Responsibilities:
- Grow First Table's restaurant network across Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle
- Identify and approach prospective restaurant partners
- Understand prospects' needs and communicate how First Table can support their business
- Own new-business opportunities from first conversation through onboarding
- Support existing partners where needed
- Meet restaurant owners and operators in person
- Use market insight, data and local knowledge to build a healthy pipeline
- Sign up new restaurants within the assigned territory
- Identify acquisition targets and track them in the CRM
- Build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
- Research prospects to assess sales value and profitability
- Win new business against agreed targets
- Run a call cycle to maintain a healthy pipeline
- Track market trends and competitors to identify opportunities
- Attend relevant trade shows and industry events as needed
- Respond to and close warm incoming enquiries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for a seamless partner experience
Requirements:
- Experience in business development, sales, field sales, partnerships or account management
- Hospitality, food tech or SaaS experience ideally
- Track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Confidence building rapport quickly and turning opportunities into long-term partnerships
- Hospitality industry familiarity and existing contacts are a major advantage
- Self-starter with a commercial mindset
- Comfortable working independently within a territory
- Tech-savvy and confident with CRMs, video conferencing and sales platforms
- Full, valid UK driving licence
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- Must be based in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, or well-placed to cover the territory
- Must already have the right to work in the UK
