Job Description
Business Development Manager responsible for growth and client relationships in energy sector with Salesforce expertise. Working with a self-organized team, identifying opportunities and building strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- At Eigenherd we combine Salesforce expertise with deep industry know-how in the energy market. We support utilities, municipal utilities, grid operators and energy traders in digitalizing their processes and rethinking customer relationships — across the entire Salesforce platform.
- You will be part of a self-organized team that jointly owns customer management — from business development through account management to customer engagement.
- You will work closely with experienced colleagues and receive strategic guidance from our Strategic Advisor for Energy & Utilities.
- You identify new market and business opportunities in the energy sector and develop clear go-to-market strategies for our Salesforce portfolio (e.g., Sales, Service, Experience, Energy & Utilities Cloud, MuleSoft).
- You are responsible for the entire business development cycle — from market analysis and target-customer scouting to initial outreach, qualification and generating new opportunities.
- You work closely with our account management team to jointly develop opportunities and close them successfully.
- You actively build and maintain our network in the energy industry; ideally you already have contacts at utilities, grid operators, energy traders or industry networks.
- You strengthen our partnership with Salesforce, leveraging alliance programs, events and initiatives to increase Eigenherd's visibility with relevant accounts.
- You represent Eigenherd at industry events, conferences, meetups and Salesforce events — acting as a networker, idea-driver or thought leader.
Requirements:
- You have at least 5 years of experience in business development or in sales of IT or SaaS services, ideally in a Salesforce or professional services environment.
- You know the energy industry: processes, challenges, regulation, commodity trading or grid management are not foreign concepts to you.
- You have a good understanding of CRM, cloud and process digitalization and ideally initial experience with Salesforce (Sales, Service, Energy & Utilities Cloud).
- You communicate clearly, respectfully and persuasively, whether in face-to-face conversations, pitches or at executive level.
- You are strong at building and maintaining business networks and already have contacts in the energy market.
- You think strategically, act in a structured way, identify opportunities and pursue them proactively.
- You take responsibility and work independently, but see yourself as a team player and maintain close collaboration with Account Management, Marketing, Solution Engineering and Delivery.
- You are fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
Benefits:
- Learning & development: We support and promote your individual development with certifications, trainings, coaching and seminars.
- Career matrix & development plan: We transparently show you the different development and career paths available.
- Flexibility: Flexible working hours and the option to work remotely are a given. We have modern, centrally located offices in Berlin and Hamburg — you can choose to work on-site or remotely across Germany.
- Workation: You can spend up to 15 days per year working from different locations around the world to combine work and relaxation.
- Time off: Enjoy 30 days of vacation per year. Additionally, we offer the option of a sabbatical for an extended break for personal projects or rest.
- Social engagement: We engage collectively in social causes and sustainability by regularly organizing charity activities. You receive 2 additional days per year to volunteer and contribute to society.
- Team spirit: Our semi-annual company gatherings and a wide range of team events are fundamental to our culture and strengthen our cohesion.
- Purpose-specific allowances: We offer an attractive package of targeted allowances such as mobility budget, internet allowance, meal subsidy, non-cash benefits and a recreation grant.
- Family benefits: You receive a monthly subsidy of up to €150 per child for childcare costs.
- Company pension: For your future security we offer attractive employer contributions to a company pension plan.
- Knowledge sharing: Each week we offer inspiring 'Lunch & Learn' sessions and expert corners to share knowledge and learn from each other continuously.
- Equipment: You receive top-tier hardware from Apple or Windows so you can work at your best.
