Job Description

Field-based Business Development Representative merchandising AG Barr’s beverage brands across Scottish retail outlets. Driving visibility, availability, displays, and sales across a 60-store territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Present brands via a prepared presentation and secure a commitment to increase share of shelf and local display
  • Complete administration for each completed call
  • Manually handle the movement of large quantities of stock in compliance with the manual handling procedure
  • Place or reorganise products in customers' chilled equipment for Drink Now
  • Place or reorganise products on customers' ambient shelving for Take Home
  • Place point of sale (POS) at key points of interruption within stores
  • Activate local/regional agreed displays and identify opportunities for additional points of interruption (POI)
  • Support and participate in additional Take Home and/or Drink Now project opportunities within the territory
  • Educate retailers about AG Barr core brands across a territory of approximately 60 multiple and discounter outlets
  • Merchandise AG Barr brands to maximise rate of sale, create visibility, build impulse purchase displays, and protect availability
  • Develop assigned stores toward model store status

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to present information at a hight standard internally, using account performance data and in store execution
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience merchandising FMCG brands and building impactful in-store displays
  • Experience working with retail outlets
  • Ability to move stock, restock chillers, and reorganise shelving
  • Willingness to travel across Scotland
  • Experience selling into multiple retailers, managing a territory of stores, or handling account-facing conversations with store managers and buyers is preferred
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting tools is preferred
  • Experience managing a multi-outlet territory independently is preferred
  • Flexibility to attend monthly team meetings that may require overnights is preferred
