Job Description
Overnight Caregiver supporting elderly residents with personal care and daily activities. Maintaining resident safety, dignity, documentation, and wellbeing for Monarch Communities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with all aspects of daily life as indicated in their care plan, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and activities
- Provide bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding assistance
- Maintain resident safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality
- Escort residents to meals and activities
- Ensure assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed and groomed, safe, and fed during assigned shifts
- Document all services provided during the shift
- Immediately report changes in a resident’s condition to the supervisor
- Report to the Clinical Services Director
Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant and/or DHS certification plus High School Diploma
- Knowledge and experience in working with the elderly population
- Dementia experience preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to lift and support residents intermittently
- Must use proper body mechanics
