Job Description

Client Manager guiding national employee benefits programs for IMA Financial Group. Managing client relationships, vendors, compliance, communications, and benefits education.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regular professional contact with client representatives to foster relationships
  • Research and resolve client issues and requests in a timely manner
  • Answer questions related to benefits programs
  • Conduct reviews and provide guidance on compliance matters
  • Assist in preparing materials and collateral for client meetings
  • Participate in client discussions and record meeting discussions and action items
  • Oversee new vendor and carrier implementations
  • Review carrier, vendor, and plan documents and contracts
  • Maintain contact with carrier and vendor representatives to advocate for clients and resolve issues
  • Develop short- and long-term employee communication objectives with clients
  • Create member-facing collateral explaining benefit program features
  • Lead in-person, virtual, and telephone sessions for plan participants
  • Update clients on carrier and vendor partner features and services
  • Contribute to client service team operations and meet deadlines
  • Communicate client updates to team members and maintain the task management system
  • Oversee job flow and outcome accuracy of the assigned Account Coordinator
  • Assist with other team duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Attains and maintains state life and health license in accordance with IMA standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent job experience
  • 3+ years of Employee Benefits experience, preferably with large and complex accounts
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, InDesign, and Box
  • Ability to learn and work in agency/client management systems and related software and technology platforms
  • Ability to work independently and accurately, with strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate written and oral interpersonal communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to present information in person and virtually in a group setting
  • Intermediate organizational skills, including prioritizing and managing multiple projects with variable deadlines
  • High degree of diplomacy and tact while maintaining confidentiality
