Job Description

Clinical Account Manager responsible for sales targets and managing relationships in pharmaceuticals. Focusing on launching Bezuclastinib across various indications for Cogent Biosciences.

Responsibilities:

  • Holistically support and manage territory accounts by creating relationships with physicians, allied healthcare professionals, and business stakeholders
  • Maintain a deep understanding of territory, treatment trends, payer dynamics, and competitive opportunities
  • Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan including account plans and sales messages
  • Demonstrate clinical/disease/product expertise and deliver customer education
  • Collaborate with Cogent internal stakeholders to advance business objectives
  • Implement processes for patient identification and treatment management
  • Utilize internal and external relationships to manage accounts
  • Passionate about products throughout the sales cycle while building brand and serving patients
  • Leverage oncology/rare disease state awareness to deliver results

Requirements:

  • Strong clinical selling skills
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills
  • Effective working in teams and self-starters
  • Strategic and forward thinking
  • BA/BS or healthcare equivalent degree required
  • Minimum 5+ years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or medical sales experience with preference for Rare Disease/Oncology/Hematology
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical marketplace and understanding of industry and broader healthcare trends
  • Collaborative and organizationally savvy team player
  • Strong negotiation, partnering, and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage business relationships with external strategic partners
  • Experience working in large accounts and/or hospitals required
  • Successful product launch experience preferred
  • Prior pharma/biotech start-up experience preferred
  • Technologically savvy and committed to leveraging data and analytics
