Job Description

Remote Director leading client engagement and team performance for Med-Metrix’s healthcare revenue operations. Managing hospital receivables, client inquiries, compliance, and internal controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to maintain the team’s daily performance excellence while enhancing client relationships
  • Provide assistance and resolution to external and internal client inquiries
  • Prepare reports or logs as required
  • Act as a technical expert regarding financial class responsibility and answer questions from clients and team members
  • Maintain current working knowledge of healthcare issues and regulations, especially government payors and managed care contracts
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure proper internal controls and operating procedures are followed
  • Analyze and solve problems quickly and thoroughly
  • Establish realistic goals and priorities aligned with organizational objectives
  • Adhere to company policies, standards of business conduct, applicable laws, regulations, and governance/compliance programs
  • Report policy, procedural, internal control, legal, and regulatory violations through the company Help Line or other available mechanism
  • Assist with internal control failure remediation efforts
  • Learn internal control responsibilities through training and instruction
  • Be accountable for internal control performance, implementation, change management, and self-assessment within the area of responsibility
  • Communicate concerns about internal control design or performance and process changes to management
  • Establish accountability for internal control performance and promote effective internal control practices
  • Ensure remote client access is disabled for terminated or transferred employees when applicable and in a timely manner
  • Use, protect, and disclose patients’ protected health information only in accordance with HIPAA standards
  • Understand and comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures
  • Limit viewing of protected health information to the minimum necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a hospital business office setting or similar setting
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing hospital receivables in an acute care setting or equivalent
  • Prior management experience required
  • Knowledge of governmental, legal, and regulatory provisions related to collection activity
  • Knowledge of insurance company practices regarding reimbursement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
  • High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Must possess a smartphone or electronic device capable of downloading applications for multifactor authentication and security purposes
  • Ability to follow directions, collaborate with others, and handle stress
