Job Description
Director, Market Access at Dexcom responsible for patient access, revenue growth, and partnerships. Leading strategy for public/private payers and external partners in the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute a comprehensive market access strategy across public and private payers, defining optimal pricing, reimbursement and funding pathways.
- Anticipate and influence changes in reimbursement, HTA processes, and healthcare policy to protect and expand access.
- Develop value propositions, economic models, and access tools demonstrating clinical, economic, and system level value.
- Drive trade and distribution strategy across wholesalers and retail partners.
- Negotiate and manage Distribution Services Agreements and other trade contracts, ensuring compliance and value delivery.
- Identify, evaluate, and execute strategic partnerships that expand access, generate new patients, and drive growth.
- Partner with Finance on pricing, forecasting, scenario planning, and net revenue performance analysis.
- Own partnership deals from concept through execution, including financial modeling and ROI analysis.
- Lead and develop a high performing team while driving alignment across Commercial, Medical, Legal, and Finance.
Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of industry experience.
- 9+ years of successful management experience in relevant industry.
- Deep understanding of public and private payer environments, reimbursement pathways, and distribution models.
- Proven success negotiating complex commercial access, trade, and partnership agreements.
- Strong strategic and financial acumen, including pricing, forecasting, and scenario planning.
- Experience engaging with policymakers, payers, and external stakeholders to influence access and funding outcomes.
- Ability to translate access, trade, and partnership insights into clear business impact.
- Demonstrated leadership in highly matrixed organizations with strong cross functional collaboration skills.
- Track record of building, mentoring, and leading high performing teams.
