Job Description

Employee Relations Specialist managing employee relations and HR policies at WEX for Brazil. Collaborating with HRBPs and legal teams to ensure compliance and improve workplace culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Counsel and provide assistance to employees and management in employee issues
  • Assist managers with addressing performance concerns
  • Collect, prepare and analyze Employee Relations data
  • Work on continuous improvement initiatives and special projects
  • Conduct investigations regarding policy violations
  • Make recommendations on actions to be taken following investigations
  • Assist in development and roll out of HR policies and procedures
  • Monitor employee engagement and make recommendations for improving morale
  • Manage relations with local labor unions
  • Provide written and oral advice to management regarding compliance topics
  • Lead and develop a psych safety culture
  • Effectively manage investigations regarding discrimination, harassment & bullying complaints
  • Support other regions as needed

Requirements:

  • Senior experience in Employee Relations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws (Brazil)
  • Advanced proficiency in English language (written and spoken)
  • Employment law/labor relations degree (preferred)
  • HR certification and/or advanced HR degree (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel, Data Systems such as Jira and HR Acuity (preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Brazilian labor law (CLT)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conflict resolution
  • Strong attention to detail with disciplined approach to documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility, composure under pressure, and respect for confidentiality
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
