Job Description

Experienced Intermodal Operations Specialist responsible for coordinating rail shipments and enhancing customer service at Knichel Logistics. Join a collaborative environment focusing on intermodal logistics solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Order acceptance, order entry, planning, and scheduling of intermodal rail shipments.
  • Coordinating with Knichel Logistics rail and drayage partners to ensure the appropriate capacity and service to meet our customer’s needs.
  • Consistent monitoring of intermodal shipments to ensure on-time pick-up and delivery – while proactively identifying and resolving any shipment/account problems.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues promptly and effectively, ensuring seamless communication between stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and procurement teams to enhance service offerings and align with customer expectations.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in logistics, specifically intermodal customer service and operations.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively across various customers and shipments.
  • Strong communication skills while having a sense of urgency and empathy.
  • Comfortable engaging and building relationships with multiple stakeholders to include shippers, carriers, rails and internal team members.
  • Detail-oriented and skilled at problem-solving with a proactive approach.
