Job Description
Freelance Korean-to-Vietnamese translator and proofreader for TransPerfect Gaming’s indie and AAA localization projects. Ensuring polished Vietnamese gaming experiences across Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy titles.
Responsibilities:
- Translate and proofread gaming content from Korean to Vietnamese for indie and AAA game localization projects
- Ensure a high-quality gaming experience for Vietnamese players
- Handle tags and character limits according to instructions
- Work across Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy game content
- Complete translation, proofreading, and MTPE work as applicable
- Meet deadlines in a fast-paced, creative environment
- Complete a translation test and sign a confidentiality agreement
Requirements:
- Native-level proficiency in Vietnamese
- Strong command of Korean and English
- Minimum 2 years of experience in gaming localization and proofreading Korean to Vietnamese
- Expertise in Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy games
- Familiarity with gaming terminology
- Ability to follow instructions on tags and character limits
- Skilled in CAT tools
- Excellent grammar, spelling, and terminology skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, creative environment
- Must meet one of the following: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent with significant translation training); 2+ years of translation experience plus a college degree; 5+ years of translation experience with no degree required; or a translation certification issued by an appropriate government body
- Must sign a confidentiality agreement
- Must complete a translation test
