Job Description
Part-Time HR Generalist handling payroll, benefits, and compliance tasks for mental health company. Supporting recruiting, onboarding, and general HR functions in a remote role for Utah residents.
Responsibilities:
- Own payroll processing, benefits coordination, multi-state compliance, onboarding, and day-to-day HR generalist functions
- Post and manage job openings across multiple job boards and platforms
- Screen applicants and conduct initial phone screens
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
- Maintain candidate tracking and disposition records in our ATS (Rippling)
- Process payroll across multiple pay cadences and multiple EINs with a high degree of accuracy
- Audit timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies prior to each payroll run
- Support state tax registration and employer account setup when expanding into new states
- Assist with payroll compliance issues, including multi-state wage and hour requirements
- Identify and escalate payroll discrepancies or compliance risks proactively
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including Rippling workflows and documentation
- Maintain and update HR documents, job descriptions, policies, and employee records
- Assist with employee relations inquiries and escalate as appropriate
- Coordinate employee training sessions, including scheduling and participation tracking
- Support ad-hoc People & Culture projects as needed
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in an HR generalist or HR coordinator role
- Hands-on payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting coordination
- Proficiency with HRIS systems; Rippling experience strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of HR compliance across multiple states
- Exceptional attention to detail; accuracy in payroll processing is critical to this role
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a healthcare or mental health setting is a plus
- Must live in Utah
