Job Description

HR Specialist supporting G-P’s SaaS global employment platform clients across Australia and ANZ. Managing employee lifecycle, complex relations, compliance, and employment-law advisory.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary HR contact for onboarding, lifecycle events, and terminations across Australia, supporting New Zealand and other APAC markets as needed
  • Manage sensitive employee relations cases and terminations, including calls, meetings, and legally sound documentation
  • Build and manage relationships with payroll providers, benefits brokers, and HR legal advisors
  • Serve as the first point of contact for client queries on benefits, compliance, and workforce planning
  • Provide guidance on ANZ labor laws and cultural nuances
  • Review and advise on employment contracts and risk mitigation
  • Guide clients through Performance Improvement Plans and salary changes
  • Support employees’ immigration and mobility needs with the Global Mobility team
  • Document processes, identify delegable tasks, and ensure smooth workload handover
  • Drive automation and AI adoption to optimize HR processes
  • Lead compliance governance projects across ANZ markets
  • Lead global initiatives to standardize and improve HR practices

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of HR experience
  • Deep expertise in labour laws
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including Fair Work compliance
  • Application and interpretation of Modern Awards
  • Practical experience managing WHS standards and Worker’s Compensation / Return to Work processes
  • Experience supporting complex employee relations
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Tech-savvy with HRIS, Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, Tableau, and collaboration tools such as Zoom and Slack
  • Knowledge of the EOR industry preferred
  • Working knowledge of New Zealand HR practices and employment would be an added benefit
