Job Description
HR Consultant delivering strategic and operational employment advice to UK businesses. Managing client portfolios, complex employee-relations cases, HR projects, and consultancy growth.
Responsibilities:
- Personally manage a portfolio of clients through phone, email, and onsite/virtual meetings
- Deliver operational and strategic HR support across diverse sectors
- Provide hands-on consultancy including employee-relations casework, project delivery, and proactive support
- Develop long-term people strategies, conduct HR audits, and create tailored people plans
- Manage disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, TUPE, redundancy, and restructure matters
- Advise on family-friendly policies, flexible working, equality, diversity and inclusion
- Support recruitment campaigns, job descriptions, advertising, selection, testing, and psychometric assessments
- Design and enhance onboarding, induction, and probationary review processes
- Design and deliver bespoke HR training programmes
- Advise on pay structures, benefits, reward strategies, and fair pay reviews
- Handle exit interviews, settlement agreements, early conciliation support, and offer documentation
- Represent Impact HR at networking events and identify business-development opportunities
- Contribute to internal consultancy processes and share knowledge with peers
Requirements:
- Strong generalist HR background; ideally experience in consultancy or a multi-site environment
- Solid understanding of UK employment law and best practice across the full employee lifecycle
- Strong consulting and coaching skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent planning, prioritising and time management skills
- Competency in project management
- Proficiency with MS 365
- Experience with CRMs and HR systems
- Solutions-focused, commercially aware mindset
- Application of data protection and confidentiality
- Ability to travel for client site visits as required
- Comfortable working autonomously within a wider team
- Skilled HR professional and confident communicator
