Job Description

HR Specialist supporting Brazil employee lifecycle operations for G-P, a SaaS global employment platform. Advising clients on Brazilian labor compliance, payroll, benefits, and workforce management.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the regional subject matter expert for employee lifecycle events and HR functions in Brazil, with support across other LATAM markets
  • Advise prospective and existing clients expanding into Brazil and LATAM on local market norms, benefits, payroll, and labor compliance
  • Build and manage relationships with payroll providers, benefits brokers, accountants, and external HR/legal advisors
  • Maintain country-specific knowledge bases and Standard Operating Procedures for regional compliance
  • Resolve ongoing client matters and queries with appropriate team support
  • Manage customer and professional data in online portals and vendor platforms
  • Lead end-to-end compliance projects with cross-functional teams
  • Provide primary HR support across onboarding, mid-cycle activities, and offboarding
  • Handle sensitive employee relations, complex terminations, and involuntary offboardings in accordance with local labor laws
  • Integrate product features and AI tools to automate tasks and optimize HR workflows
  • Solve complex HR challenges and drive process improvements
  • Lead and support local and global compliance initiatives to improve regional products and service delivery

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or higher in Human Resources, International Business, Accounting, Law, or a related field
  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience, ideally as an HR Specialist, HR Generalist, or HR Business Partner
  • Deep, practical working knowledge of Brazilian labor laws, HR practices, and employment regulations
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken, is required
  • Native/fluent Portuguese
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and self-regulate in a fast-paced, matrixed, remote environment
  • Experience interacting with global clients and colleagues, with sensitivity to diverse cultural norms and communication styles
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex challenges, and comply with local regulations
  • Strong communication, negotiation, emotional intelligence, organizational, and customer-service skills
  • Preferred: regional HR exposure across other Latin American countries and willingness to learn new markets
  • Preferred: experience with HRIS, ticketing systems such as Zendesk and Jira, collaboration tools including Slack, Zoom, and SharePoint, and AI productivity tools
