Job Description
Instructional Designer developing adult-learning programs for Allstate’s casualty claims adjusters. Creating blended solutions that improve judgment, negotiation, communication, and claim performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver learning offerings aligned with business and enterprise strategy as part of an agile team
- Ensure talent management practices are supported consistently within learning offerings
- Maintain the catalog of offerings and recommend content for business unit and enterprise needs
- Participate in audits and quality reviews of learning systems
- Coordinate initial class setup, including reviewing class lists and preparing class materials
- Build and maintain relationships with business partners, clients, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams
- Drive adoption of a skills-based culture through design and delivery of business-relevant learning
- Measure learning effectiveness and share recommendations to improve learner understanding
- Provide learner support and coach learners through learning exercises
- Support the design and development of Casualty Injury College to improve adjuster judgment, evaluation accuracy, negotiation effectiveness, customer communication, quality, cycle time, and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Proven experience designing and developing end-to-end learning solutions for adult learners
- Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and performance-based learning strategies
- Experience creating blended learning solutions, including ILT, vILT, eLearning, job aids, assessments, and performance support tools
- Proficiency with Articulate Storyline/Rise, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft 365, and AI-enabled learning tools
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to partner with SMEs, facilitators, business leaders, and cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication, consultation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience measuring learning effectiveness and leveraging data for continuous improvement
- Ability to quickly learn complex business processes and translate them into effective learning solutions
- Insurance, claims, financial services, or other regulated-industry experience preferred
- Dedicated, private home workspace with appropriate desk and seating
- Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
- Successful completion of a background investigation
- Must be eligible to work in the United States; Allstate generally does not sponsor employment-based visas for this position
